Abstract

As a Setup user, you can edit existing Configs. Note that editing Configs is different from Updating configs. Config updates are changes to the Config triggered by changes to the Template. Edits are changes to the Config independent from what happens in the Template. In this article, you can read how to Edit a Config.

Step-by-step: editing Configs

  1. Open de config that you want to edit, click on the “Options” button in the top right and select “Edit config”. This will first open a confirmation modal with a warning. If you proceed, the Config’s state will change to “Being edited” and will not be available to select when creating an ILAP exchange agreement (IEA) until it has been published again.

  1. Once in edit mode, you can navigate through the different tabs and make the required changes. Note that some fields are not editable such as: Template, Connector and Direction. Changes to these fields will cause major problems to the IEAs that are using this Config. All other fields can be changed.

On the first page, schedules that should be able to use this Config can be selected of deselected. This is done with the checkboxes on the left side in the table. Because of the setup of the schedules, only schedules with the same Code set can be selected. Once a schedule is selected, it is possible to hide schedule outside of the selected code set with the toggle above the table. It is also possible to hide schedules with a finish date before today. You can also use the filter and search function to find schedules.

If you want to make changes to the config information, this is still possible in this step. Be aware that if you change the Connector, the schedule list will update and selection will have to be done again.
When you are done selecting schedules, click “Save & Next” in the bottom right to continue to the next step. Or navigate to the last step: “Host system parameters” to “Save & publish”.

Throughout the Config creation steps, it is possible to save your input with the “Save” button next to the “Save & Next” button. You can also close the Config with the button in the bottom left. If you do this without using the save buttons first, you changes will be lost. Finally, you can also delete a config with the button next to the “Close” button.

  1. On the “Direct mapping” page, corresponding Host fields with the ILAP Terms can be edited. This is done by selecting a Host field from the dropdown. Extra information about the Content Control can be view by clicking on the underlined text in the “Content control” column.
Direct mapping can also be turned on or off. Turn this off for ILAP Terms that need a Value transformation, this means that the value for the ILAP Term cannot be applied one-on-one in the Host field or vice versa.
Click “Save & Next” to go to the next page. Or navigate to the last step: “Host system parameters” to “Save & publish”.

  1. On the final page, the Host system parameters can be edited. The host system parameters depend on the Host system that is used and the direction of the Config. More details about this in the article about defining host system parameters. Click “Save & publish” to publish the config. This means it is available again to make IEAs with.
