Abstract

Sometimes, changes are made to a Template. The Configs that are using this Template will need to be updated by the Setup user. Depending on what the changes are, this can be done in a few clicks,ks or some input is required.

Step-by-step: Updating a Config

  1. Find and open the Config that has an update available.
Go the Configs page from the setup menu. All Configs that have an update available will show up on top in the table with a label “Update available” in the title. Additionally, in the tile above the table that reads “Update available”, it is indicated how many Configs have updates. Clicking the tile will filter the table and show only the Configs that have an update available. Click on the Config you would like update to open it.

  1. View the updates.
For Configs that have updates available, a blue box will show under the title and information bar. On the right side in the box there is a button that reads “View updates”. Click to open the pop-up window with the updates.

NB! In some cases, it is a matter of accepting the updates. This scenario is described below in step 3a. In other cases, e.g. when a new ILAP Term has been added to the template, additional input is required. This is described in step 3b to 5.

Click “Accept updates” to implement the changes to the Config. If both configs of an ILAP exchange agreement (IEA) are updated, the Owner of the IEA will be notified with the possibility to implement the update to the IEA. More about this in the article about Updating IEAs.

  1. Direct mapping
All the ILAP Terms that have been added need to be mapped to a corresponding Host field. This is done by selecting a host field from the dropdown. Extra information about the content control can be viewed by clicking on the underlined text in the “Content control” column. Some ILAP terms cannot be directly mapped, this means that the value for the ILAP Term cannot be applied one-on-one in the Host field or vice versa. These ILAP Terms needs a Value transformation. Toggle “Off” the direct mapping in the last column. These fields will show up in the Value transformations tab.
Once you have defined a Host field for each ILAP Term, navigate to the “Value transformations” tab.

  1. Value transformations
In some cases, this tab is empty. Simply click “Update config” in that case.
If there is content, this screen allows you to define value transformation for all the ILAP terms in the table by adding Mapping formulas and/or Value maps. More details about this can be found in the article about defining value transformations. Sometimes, a value map is already shown. In this case, additional input in the Value map is required. Click “Open” in the Value map column and provide the missing input.
Click “Update config” to implement the changes to the Config. If both Configs of an IEA are updated, the owner of the IEA will be notified with the possibility to implement the update to the IEA.
