Abstract

If you are the Sender of data, it is possible to use an activity filter to control what specific data to exchange. Activity filters can be defined while creating ILAP exchange agreements (IEAs) or later while editing IEAs.

Opening the Activity filter

There are a few scenarios to open the activity filter, find the scenario that fits you situation and follow the instructions.

NB! Activity filters are only applicable for the Sender on an IEA

When creating an IEA as an Owner

If you select to be the sender, a 5th step in the IEA creation wizard will be added. The activity filter can be defined in this step. For more context, check out the article about creating IEAs.

When creating an IEA as a Partner

When you are invited into the IEA creation process as a Partner. You can add an activity filter after defining your configuration in the IEA details. This is the same step in which you can adjust the Host system parameters if you are a Setup user. For more context, check out the article about creating IEAs.

When an IEA is active

When an IEA is active, you first have to go into edit mode. Find the ”Edit” option by clicking the “Options” button in the top right. In the info bar under the title, you will find the button to add or edit the activity filter.

Setting an Activity filter

NB! if SAP is your Host system, the activity looks different. Scroll down to see how that works.

Depending on where you opened the Activity filter, it might look slightly different from the image below, but it works in the same manner.

There is two ways of defining an Activity filter. Firstly, you can simply type or paste a filter formula in the text field. Secondly, there is a dropdown in the top right with example filters to choose from. When you filter is finished, click “Save” in the bottom right.

Activity filter with SAP as host system

SAP is the exception when it comes to the Activity filter. SAP works with an Order filter and an Operations filter. Like the regular filters, you can either type/paste a filter in the text box, or select an example filter from the dropdown. It is also possible to inherit the filter from the Predecessor IEA (see below).

When ‘’Inherit predecessor IEA filter’’ is turned on, the same filter as the predecessor IEA will be used. If desired, a second filter can be applied on top if that filter. This can be added like the other filters, by typing/pasting in the textfield of selecting an example filter from the dropdown.
