Abstract

The last step for the Setup users before ILAP Exchange agreements (IEAs) can be created, is to create Configs. This can be done after the Template and the Connector, that will be used on this Config, have been created. These three steps form the main responsibilities in the Setup admin role.

Matching Configs on the Owner and Partner side need to be created before users can create an IEA. This means that one of the two needs to create a sending config, and the other a receiving config. The rest of the process is identical for both sides. This article describes how it is done.

  1. Schedule selection
In this step, all the schedules that should be able to use this Config are selected. This is done with the checkboxes on the left side in the table. Because of the setup of the schedules, only schedules with the same Code set can be selected. Once a schedule is selected, it is possible to hide schedule outside of the selected code set with the toggle above the table. It is also possible to hide schedules with a finish date before today. You can also use the filter and search function to find schedules.

If you want to make changes to the config information, this is still possible in this step. Be aware that if you change the Connector, the schedule list will update and selection will have to be done again.
When you are done selecting schedules, click “Save & Next” in the bottom right to continue to the next step.

Throughout the Config creation steps, it is possible to save your input with the “Save” button next to the “Save & Next” button. You can also close the Config with the button in the bottom left. If you do this without using the save buttons first, you changes will be lost. Finally, you can also delete a config with the button next to the “Close” button.

  1. Direct mapping
In this step, all the ILAP Terms in the selected template are mapped to the corresponding Host fields in the selected schedules. This is done by selecting a host field from the dropdown. Extra information about the Content Control can be view by clicking on the underlined text in the “Content control” column. Some ILAP Terms needs a Value transformation, this means that the value for the ILAP Term cannot be applied one-on-one in the Host field or vice versa. In that case, toggle “Off” the direct mapping in the last column.
Click “Save & next” when you have selected a host field or turned off direct mapping for all the fields.

You can go back to the schedule selection by clicking on the tab, here you can also change more Config information fields. Be aware that this might affect the input in the schedule selection and on this page.

  1. Value transformations
All the fields that have direct mapping turned off in step 4, appear in the table for value transformations. The value transformations can be added in the form of Mapping formulas and Value maps. This is done by clicking the “+ Add” button in the table. Read the article on value transformation for a more detailed explanation.
To apply value transformations to ILAP core fields, they have to be added to the table by clicking the “+ Add ILAP core fields” button on the right side above the table.
Click “Save & next” when you have added a value transformation for all the fields.

Again, it is possible to back to previous steps by using the tabs, but be aware that this might affect the steps following.

  1. Host system parameters
In the final step of creating a config, the Host system parameters are set. Which parameters are shown, depends on the Host system that you creating the Config for. The parameters you set, will serve as default values on the IEAs that use this Config. Setup user can overwrite the values for an IEA specifically. For more detailed information about this, check out this article: Defining host system parameters.
Click “Save & publish” when you have defined the right Host system parameters. The Config can now be used to create IEAs.
