Abstract
One of the tasks of the Setup admin is to make sure that the Connectors are functioning correctly and ILAP exchange agreements (IEAs) can run smoothly. That is why the Setup admin needs to monitor Connectors and perform health checks. In this article it explains how to do this.
Monitoring connectors
The Setup admins have a page in the ILAP Data Exchange web application for Connectors in their Tenant. The page can be accessed through the Setup menu in the menu bar. The date of the last health check for each Connector can be found in the right-most column in the table, including a colour indication. The colours have the following meaning:
- Green: last usage of the connector was successful and was within the past 7 days.
- Orange: last usage of the connector was successful but was more than 7 days ago.
- Red: Last usage resulted in a failure.
If the indicator is orange or red, the Setup admin might run a health check to find out if the connector is working and if that is not the case, retrieve information to fix the problem. This is done differently for Connectors that use the ILAP Desktop app or the Autonomous component (will be available soon) Execute component.

Health checks for connectors using the ILAP Desktop App
For Connectors that use the ILAP Desktop application (Desktop app) as the Execute component, health checks are done in the Desktop app. Sign in to the Desktop app and go to “Connectors” in the menu bar. Find the connector you want to perform a health check for and click on the “Check now” button in the “Test” column.
A pop-up window will appear with a “Successful” or “Failed” message, including a text from the API. This text can be copied to be shared with support in case that is required.

Health checks for Connectors using the Autonomous component
For Connector that uses the Autonomous component as the Execute component, health checks are done in the ILAP Data Exchange web application. In the same column as the health check indication, you will find a button that reads “Check now”. Click the button to perform a health check.
