Abstract

The executing component refers to the on-premise component that all organizations participating in transfers must have installed within their own IT infrastructure. The executing component enables a secure connection between organisations’ IT infrastructure and the ILAP Data Exchange (IDE) service. Currently, the only execution component available is the IDE Desktop Application (Desktop app). An autonomous component will be added later.

Why do we need an executing component?

The data that is to be transferred through ILAP exchange agreements (IEAs) resides within the IT infrastructure of the participating Tenants. The executing component enables the users to share data with exchange partners outside their own infrastructure.

The IDE Desktop Application

The Desktop App is mainly a tool to do transfers. Transfer events for all the IEAs that you are a representative on, will show up in the Transfers table. This will happen 6 days prior to the due date that is defined by the frequency on the IEA. E.g. if the frequency is set to weekly on Monday at 12.00, the transfer will be available on Tuesday at 12.00 the week before.

With one click, an Upload or Download can be completed. While running the upload or download, the user can see a detail log with potential errors, warnings and messages. If any problems arise, the detail log will give insight into how to overcome them. For more about doing uploads and downloads, read this article.
