For most users, using ILAP Data Exchange (IDE) consists of three parts: creating ILAP exchange agreements (IEAs), performing transfers and monitoring IEAs. In this article we cover all three with a short explanation. Each of them also has its own article, click on the links to learn more about them.

Using IDE

The three parts of using IDE

Creating ILAP exchange agreements

Creating IEAs happens in the ILAP Data exchange web application. You can create your own IEA if your Tenant has an Owner status. You can also be invited into an IEA by a user in such a tenant.

The Owner of the IEA defines what data will be transferred, at what frequency and more. Both parties define the configuration at their end. This needs to be prepared by a Setup user in your tenant. When the IEA information has been completed there is the opportunity to do a Test upload to catch any errors. As a last step, both parties need to sign the IEA, after which the IEA will start generating transfer events as soon as the set start date arrives.

For a more detailed description on this process, see the article about Creating IEAs.

Perform transfers

Both the representative of the Owner and Partner will receive IEA actions in the Execution component where transfers are executed for the duration of the IEA, according to the defined frequency. With one click, data is uploaded or downloaded following the configurations defined in the IEA.

For a more detailed description on this process, see the article about Performing transfers: Uploads and downloads.

Monitor ILAP exchange agreements

Both the representatives of the Owner and Partner can monitor how their IEAs are performing. An event log shows whether the Uploads and Downloads have been performed successful and in case of any errors, the details to solve them are provided.

For a more detailed description on this process, see the article about Monitoring IEAs.
